Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland will benefit from the fundraising efforts of hundreds of runners after being named as BUPA's charities for the Great Run Series

are poised for a head start as Bupa’s newly-appointed nominated charities for the 2009 Bupa Great Run Series - which includes the world’s largest half-marathon, the Bupa Great North Run.

The partnership could see the charities net up to £1 million from the fundraising efforts of more than 300 dedicated runners and is part of Bupa’s commitment to helping to raise awareness of the issues facing people with dementia.
